Designed to perform.

The new MODUS 2 Mandible offers a wide range of plate designs for a variety of mandibular treatments.

Anatomical plate designs

Cover the various regions in the mandible in terms of bone thickness, soft tissue coverage and stability and reduce intraoperative bending.

Condyle plates

Wide selection of plates for condylar treatments.

Grid structure

The grid structure allows for higher stability in combination with lower plate thickness, making intraoperative bending easier.

Anatomical fit

Less bending of the plates is required.

Product

TriLock Bridging Plates

Highlights

  • Grid structure for higher stability* combined with a low plate profile and rounded plate edges throughout.

  • Double-sided TriLock screw holes allow plates to be used on the left and right side, thereby streamlining the plate portfolio.**

  • Anatomical plate design and adaptable ramus section.**

  • Less bending of the plate is required.

* compared to MODUS Reco 2.5 bridging plates
** for L/H and LC/HC reconstruction plates

Fixation Plates

Highlights

  • Grid mandibular angle plates and grid median-paramedian plates

  • Free selection of the screw holes to be filled

  • The grid mandibular angle plates have an anatomical plate design

  • Wide selection of plates for condylar treatments

  • Compression plates for the body and mandibular angle

TriLock Plates, Anatomical

The science behind.

  • A novel alloplastic grid reconstruction plate for the mandible – Retrospective comparative clinical analysis of failure rates and specific complications
Matthias W. Gielisch, Fabia Siegberg, Daniel G.E. Thiem, Sebastian Blatt, Diana Heimes, Peer W Kämmerer
    2023
    Journal of Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery

Retrospective analysis, including 136 patients, whereof 94 received non-Medartis plates, 26 received Medartis MODUS Reco 2.5 and 16 received MODUS 2 Mandible Bridging Plates (RP3). RP3 showed siginificantly less dehiscence and no plate fracture. The authors recommend favor the use of RP3 compared to the other systems.

  • Evaluation of a novel osteosynthesis plate system formandibular defects
    F. Peters, K. Kniha, S.C. Möhlhenrich, A. Bock, F. Hölzle, A. Modabber
    2020
British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Retrospective analysis, including 65 patients, whereof 41 received the MODUS mandibular plates and 24 received the MODUS 2 Mandible Bridging plates. The latter showed lower complication rates compared to literature with regard to dehiscence and plate fractures.

Designed to simplify.

Cutting pliers M2-2116 and A-2045:

  • All MODUS 2 Mandible plates can be cut
  • Visibility enables a cut without sharp edges
  • The cutting process rounds off the cut edge

Bending plier (M2-2006) and bending plier flat nose (M2-2000):

  • Designed to bend the non-locking plates from the MODUS 2 Mandible System
  • Allow bending outside the plane
  • And within the plane (Aderer function)

Three-point bending pliers (M2-2016):

  • Optimized to bend all the MODUS 2 plates with grid structure
  • Easy bending result, if the anterior grid section is parallel to the contact surface of the bending pliers.
  • To be used in combination with the ramus bending instruments M2-2026

Designed to organize.

  • Compact, clearly arranged system
  • Easy to use
  • User-friendly storage of implants and instruments
  • Validated cleaning and sterilization of the implants in the container
